The Schecter Demon-6 FR (Floyd Rose tremolo) from the Schecter Demon Active series features the Duncan Designed version of the super-popular Seymour Duncan Blackouts active humbucker. These pick-ups give 12dB to 14dB less noise, plus more lows, more highs, and more output. Simply put, Blackouts have more tone than other active pickups.
Basswood is used for the body, known for its balanced, mouldable sound. It's the perfect platform for high-output humbuckers, providing a sounds that's both level and undeniably in-your-face.
The neck is Maple, complemented by a Rosewood fretboard. This adds the perfect amount of top-end clarity, with plenty of attack. The Rosewood also helps to smoothen the midrange response, helping with note clarity when it comes to chords and rhythm parts. All-in-all, the Demon-6's construction is just as suited to ripping lead playing as it is to chugging the heaviest of riffs.
Schecter opted for Duncan-designed pickups in this particular instrument; Active HB-105s to be precise. These super-hot pickups play a huge role in delivering the monstrous metal tones that the Schecter Demon guitars are known for. With a Basswood, Maple and Rosewood platform, you can expect the perfect mixture of clarity, bite and muscle in your sound.
