CD/Hifi Sales Advisor

Location: J G Windows, Central Arcade Newcastle

Application closing date: 01/10/21

Position: 37.5 Hours/week
Salary: £NLW

Contract: Temporary until 31/12/21. A part time role is likely to be required from Jan. 2022.

Job outline:

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team in the vinyl department of our Newcastle store. With thousands of titles on the shelves covering all artists and genres an extensive knowledge as well as a passion for discovering new music is essential in the role. Delivering the best possible customer experience is crucial, as is the ability to be organised, methodical and focussed both individually and within a team.

Key aspects of the job will include:

  • Merchandising.
  • Stock management.
  • Customer service (face to face, via telephone and email).
  • Website product development.
  • Processing transactions.

Therefore the required attributes to be successful include:

  • To have a passion for music and a broad knowledge base.
  • To be confident, positive and pro-active in attitude at all times.
  • Experience of delivering exceptional customer service.
  • To be proficient using computers (ideally with the Microsoft Office Suite).
  • To be a highly motivated individual, able to work on their own and as part of a team.
  • To be a clear communicator and to have clarity of expression whether dealing with members of the public or members of the JG Windows team.
  • To be available to work 5 days a week on a flexible rota system including some evenings and usually a Saturday.

Instrument Sales Advisor

Location: J G Windows Newcastle Store

Position: 37.5 Hours/week (Part Time hours considered as the role could be shared)
Salary: £NLW

Contract: Fixed term until 31/12/21

 

Job outline:

We are looking for a highly motivated salesperson to join our team selling a range of instruments and associated products. This is primarily a sales position, so whilst a level of playing ability is important, the flair for talking to customers, providing them with excellent information and finding the right instrument or music to match their requirements is the key to being successful.

Key aspects of the job will include:

  • Demonstrating and selling a range of musical instruments.
  • Customer service (face to face, via telephone and email).
  • Store merchandising.
  • Processing transactions.

Therefore the required attributes to be successful include:

  • To be able to play an instrument to a good standard.
  • To be confident, positive and pro-active in attitude at all times.
  • To have had previous sales experience.
  • A genuine passion for music and the music industry.
  • Experience of delivering exceptional customer service.
  • To be proficient using computers (ideally with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Access).
  • To be a highly motivated individual, able to work on his or her own and as part of a team.
  • To be a clear communicator and to have clarity of expression whether dealing with members of the public or members of the JG Windows team.
