This Ex Lease Boston UP126 upright piano was manufactured in 2011.

The soundboard, strings, hammers and action are in excellent condition although the case does need some attention. There are a couple of marks on the case next to the end cheeks and on the front of the case under the keys. (See attached photos) There are also some light scratches in the lacquer where the piano has been polished. These are cosmetic and doesn’t affect the sound or playability in any way.

These cosmetic marks are reflected in the price of the piano but can be repaired before delivery if required. Please contact us for more details.

The piano has been tuned, voiced, regulated and serviced by our qualified piano technician.

Built in 2011 this 126cm Boston is a professional instrument in a polished ebony case.

As you would expect from a piano designed by Steinway & Sons the sound is excellent. This piano has a gorgeous rich European tone with plenty of clarity throughout.

It is rare to find a pre owned piano of this standard with such a recent date of manufacture. When looking at pianos of this value a lot of people will be considering reconditioned models such as the Yamaha U1 or U3 dated in the 1970’s or 1980’s. With the superb build quality and Steinway designed features and specifications, this piano compares extremely well against all others in its price range; particularly when considering that a new Boston UP118 model sells in the region of £13,000.

Additional Information:

A piano’s lifespan is usually governed by its strings which can last up to 80 years. This is one reason why pianos built in the first half of the 20th century are often free of charge on eBay as it can often cost more to move the piano than it’s worth.

New acoustic pianos usually begin at around £3000 with a professional instrument costing 2-3 times that amount.

This can leave a professional piano financially out of reach for many players and the only way to afford a higher grade instrument is to purchase a 40-50-year-old reconditioned model.

Boston upright pianos are a testament to the craftsmanship and attention to detail that Steinway & Sons is known for. These pianos are designed to provide a rich, resonant sound that is second to none, making them an excellent choice for pianists of all skill levels. In addition to their exceptional sound, Boston upright pianos are crafted using high-quality materials and techniques in addition to their excellent sound. Each component is carefully chosen and crafted from the solid spruce soundboard to the high-quality strings and hammers to provide the best possible playing experience.

Another standout feature of Boston upright pianos is their playability. The keys are designed to be responsive and comfortable, making it easy for pianists to play with precision and control. Whether you’re a beginner or a professional, you’ll find that playing a Boston upright piano is a joy.

This is an unmissable opportunity to own a nearly new Steinway & Sons designed piano at an incredibly affordable price.
