These eight key Ghanaian xylophones are made in traditional style seen in many areas of Africa. The instrument is made using wooden keys which are attached in sequence to a wooden frame from which dried calabash gourds are hung. These gourds act as resonating chambers, increasing the volume and creating a characteristic tone. Each xylophone comes with two rubber headed beaters
