The Complete Sunday For Sammy Auf Wiedersehen Pet Sketches.
One of the UK’s most popular TV shows of the 1980s, Auf Wiedersehen Pet is remembered with fondness by millions. In 2015 it was voted ITV’s ‘Best programme of all time’ in a Radio Times readers’ poll.
In 1999, two of the cast members, Tim Healy and Jimmy Nail, created Sunday for Sammy, a charity show to support young creatives in the North East of England in memory of their friend Sammy Johnson. Now part of Tyneside tradition, the Sunday for Sammy live shows continue to take place every two years.
Until 2020, the centrepiece of every performance was an exclusive new Auf Wiedersehen Pet sketch, created specially by the original writers Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais. Over the years, these sketches have featured many of the original cast, along with special guest appearances by some of Tyneside’s finest...
This 2-disc set features all nine Auf Wiedersehen Pet sketches filmed for Sunday for Sammy, none of which have been shown on UK TV!
