A Kalimba is the modern reimagining of the traditional Zimbabwe instrument the Mbira which is also commonly known as a ‘thumb piano’ or ‘finger piano’. Commonly made of wood, kalimbas have long metal rods that are capable of sounding high-pitched notes when plucked.
This Atlas Kalimba offers a range of 17 notes, is constructed of all solid mahogany and has 2 vibrato holes for extra expression.
A tuning hammer is included as well as an instrument case.
