The b1 model is an ideal first piano for those starting out, or anyone looking for a smaller piano. With it's modern cabinet design and lower height the piano certainly fits a smaller space comfortably. The tone is clean and crisp and the action is light and responsive; again making the piano a great choice for a beginner or younger players.

The b1 is also available in silent or transacoustic versions. Using the Yamaha silent system, these pianos allow for quiet practice either by plugging headphones in or even turning the piano itself down, as well as offering a host of other features. With the Yamaha silent or transacoustic piano it is possible to have the best of both worlds; the flexibility and features of a digital piano, with the authentic touch and tone of a traditional acoustic model.
