Flight DUS430 Soprano Ukulele, Dao
- Unique figured grain patterns
- Includes gigbag
Dao is the wood of many names: Paldao (also known as Paldoa) or Dracontomelum dao, and is a heartwood from South East Asia, greyish-brown with a slightly green cast and distinctive dark streaks, ranging from brown to black. Dao produces a lively, warm tone, and is tonally similar to mahogany.
The neck and fingerboard of our Dao ukuleles are made from African okoume and Walnut. It’s a great combination that guarantees a stable intonation across the fretboard, is gentle to your hands, and looks great as well. We have also updated the fingerboard with fancy abalone fret markers to make this uke really stand out among its sisters in the Supernatural series.
The nut may seem to be a small component, but it plays a critical role in the quality of the sound of an instrument. Â The nut and saddle of the DUS430 are made from bone (not from plastic). This is just one of the details that makes this ukulele truly special.
