The Ashbury AB-48U banjo ukulele is a high class instrument with plenty of professional features. It is a soprano scale length with a 15 fret fingerboard that is made from durable ovankol wood. The mahogany resonator and brass tone ring give a powerful and bright tone, typical to all quality banjo ukes. The 8 inch remo head has 16 hooks that keep the skin evenly tensioned and can be adjusted for either a brighter or a more mellow tone. Planetary tuning pegs are another sign of quality, giving both a traditional and authentic look as well as superb tuning stability and adjustment ability.
Overall the banjo uke is a delight and well worth the investment although because of all the professional fittings it is on the heavy side so a good banjo strap is recommended for maximum playing comfort.
