For those wondering what exactly a resonator is and why you'd want one?  It's a means of amplifying the sound of an acoustic guitar or ukulele where the sound is produced by a spun metal cone instead of the wooden soundboard of the instrument. It was developed before the advent of electronics, so that stringed instruments could be heard alongside louder ensemble instruments like horns and percussion. Now that we have electronic amplification it's really their unique sound and tonal quality that holds their allure.

This is an example of a wooden bodied resonator uke.  Crafted with mahogany top, back and sides to compliment the chiming tone produced by the cone.

Ashbury have been constructing and distributing quality folk instruments since 1996. They have a variety of factories in both Vietnam and Indonesia as well as China. The brand works with the long established luthier Phil Davidson to design and create each model which is tested and checked to produce an instrument that is both easy to play and provides a high quality sound. Their range covers all folk fretted instruments such as banjo, mandolin and bouzouki from beginner to professional level. Their handmade instruments, constructed in Vietnam, are created from the finest grade woods and made to exacting standards to produce some of the finest folk instruments in the market today.
