The Yanagisawa AWO20 elite model bronze alto saxophone is the instrument for the accomplished player.

Handmade in the Yanagisawa family workshop in Tokyo, it is the upgraded model of the popular A992 and offers a strong tonal core thanks to the newly re-engineered bore and tone holes. It delivers a superb tonal range with an unmistakably darker edge thanks to the fine bronze body, while the re-designed ergonomics improve fingering.

Additionally the new AWO20 features an enhanced design with the keys mounted to a rib plate which not only gives added strength to the keywork, but has the added benefit of improved resonance and tonal stability. The underslung octave mechanism is considered to have a much quicker, more responsive action. Yanagisawa's 'elite' models are true player's instruments that represent the pinnacle of saxophone craftsmanship. Yanagisawa saxophones feature special pointed pivot screws in the centre of all of the arms. These screws accurately control the stability of the centre arms and help to achieve a high precision action. The bell and body of the saxophone are linked together by a three-point, balanced brace that enables structural security and firm resonance, despite fortissimo being sought.

Also included is a Yanagisawa branded ebonite mouthpiece - a favourite among sax players. Popular because they produce lovely warm tones and are able to fit into an ensemble seamlessly.
