Yanagisawa Alto Saxophone Brass (AWO10)

The Yanagisawa AWO10 elite model alto saxophone is the instrument for the accomplished player.

Handmade in the Yanagisawa family workshop in Tokyo, it is the upgraded model of the popular A991 and offers a strong tonal core thanks to the newly re-engineered bore and tone holes.

A new source of brass on this model gives you better sound and sonority, while the re-designed ergonomics improve fingering. Additionally the new AWO10 features an enhanced design with the keys mounted to a rib plate which not only gives added strength to the keywork, but has the added benefit of improved resonance and tonal stability.

The underslung octave mechanism is considered to have a much quicker, more responsive action.

This particular model features a stunning bronzed body which is suited to both beginners and professionals. Also featured on this model is a newly designed, newly engineered and specially sourced brass material for improved sound and sonority. A white shell lining has been added to the keys to make the saxophone more eye catching and to reduce the chance of the player's fingers slipping during a technical passage.

The angle of the right pinky key has been developed to give players a smoother fingering experience, as well as additional feet added to the right side key to provide a better feel during play. Bronze Body The TWO2 saxophone features a stunning bronze body that offers dark and rich tones to the instrument - perfect for mellow music. The colour difference between the bronze body and brass mechanisms give a lovely aesthetic touch. Pivot Screws & Bell Brace Yanagisawa saxophones feature special pointed pivot screws in the centre of all of the arms. These screws accurately control the stability of the centre arms and help to achieve a high precision action.

The bell and body of the saxophone are linked together by a three-point, balanced brace that enables structural security and firm resonance, despite fortissimo being sought. Hand Engraved & Ebonite Mouthpiece For a luxury finish the Yanagisawa tenor saxophones feature an attractive and uniquely styled hand engraved pattern on the instrument's body. Also included is a Yanagisawa branded ebonite mouthpiece - a favourite among sax players. Popular because they produce lovely warm tones and are able to fit into an ensemble seamlessly.
