Yamaha YTR8335RGS Xeno Trumpet, Reverse Tuning Slide, Display Model
- Focused tone throughout the entire range of the instrument
- Reverse lead pipe promotes 'free blowing' feel
- Newly designed bell enhances playability in upper register
- One-piece bell
This very popular Xeno model features a reversed style leadpipe and tuning slide with a single brace for quicker response and playing agility.
The heavier mouthpiece receiver adds body to the tonal core, and helps hold the sound together at large dynamics.
This model has a ring on the 1st valve slide, and no water key on the third valve slide, as preferred by its development artist. The button on the 1st slide allows the player to finetune the blowing resistance.
Various refinements have been made on this instrument to improve the performance even further. Thinner valve casing and pistons, as well as the modified angle of the branch tube (knuckle), result in improved response and provide the performer with an ideal blowing resistance. The height of the main slide water key gutter has been increased for optimum resistance, and the ends of the water key spring have been curled for improved response.
A fantastically responsive instrument with a tone and playability to satisfy any player.
