The Kiwaya KCU-1 concert ukulele is an incredible instrument at an amazing price. After many decades of being exclusively an intermediate to high end Japanese manufacturer, Kiwaya have decided to produce an instrument with the companies eye for detail and gorgeous traditional sound in China.
The result is this fantastic laminate mahogany concert ukulele that has very little cosmetic detail - no doubt to keep the price right. Instead, you get a ukulele capable of wowing you with sound.With a mahogany top, back and sides produces a nice soft tone with definition, a nice percussive attack, and a rich and rounded sustain. For those who like their ukulele sound with a little extra spark and top end punch, this model produces a sound that is bright and clear with warm lower tones.
