Shops Open Monday 12th April

We are having to work a little differently in our stores to keep everyone safe.

We are pleased to be welcoming our customers back into our stores, however we want to ensure that they are as safe as possible for both staff and customers.
In order to keep everyone safe we have made the following changes to how we work:

Opening Hours

Please see the pages for our Newcastle and Metrocentre stores for up-to-date opening hours.

Store Capacity

We are able to accommodate a limited number of customers in store at any one time.
Please allow plenty of time for your visit in case there is a queue.

Book an Appointment

Because of reduced capacity and the additional safety procedures in place, we do recommend booking an appointment with the store to try out an instrument.

Video Conference Call

We are pleased to be able to offer video calls for those customers who'd prefer to shop from home, but would like some advice as well as hearing the instrument they are interested in. Use our contact form to let us know and we will be in touch to make arrangements.

Staying Safe

We will ask all our customers to use hand sanitiser when entering the store, shop alone where possible and follow social distancing guidelines. All customers unless exempt, must wear a face covering when in the store.

Playing Instruments

In order to keep our instruments in the best possible condition and allow customers to try them safely we ask that you speak to a member of staff before handling an instrument. If you'd like to try something out (and we are more than happy for you to do so) one of our staff will set the instrument up for you and be available to help and advise throughout the process.

We obviously can't keep our entire range at one store, so if there is something specific you would like to see or purchase in-store, then please contact us to check availability before making a special trip.

Browsing Printed Music, CDs and Vinyl

In order to allow our customers to browse these areas of the store we have to be extra vigilant and cautious. We will ask customers to sanitise their hands again before browsing the department and also have disposable gloves available for customers.

Caring for our instruments

It is important that we look after our instruments with as much care and attention as before, however we must also now make sure that they are safe to play and purchase. That is why we have introduced a quarantine system.

Once an instrument has been played, if it cannot be fully cleaned and sanitised with antibacterial cleaning products it will be quarantined for 72 hours to ensure it is then safe and ready to be played again.
Consequently, not all of our instruments will be available to play at any one time.

Payment Methods

For safety reasons we encourage all our customers to pay by card and use contactless payment if possible.

Click and Collect

Click and Collect is available at both stores. (Metrocentre from 12th April)

We will operate a dedicated click and collect area in the store, allowing a swift and safe collection process.
