What is the new TAG3C all about?
With TAG3C, Yamaha have transitioned into the second generation of TransAcoustic guitars. Not only is the TAG3C a higher-grade acoustic instrument than its predecessors, but it features a host of exciting new features. These include Bluetooth support, more variations of the built in effects, a rechargeable battery, mobile editor, and built-in-looper. Whilst guitars with built in-loopers are not new, the looper within the TAG3C takes ease of use to a new level. The tap sensor on the top of the body is subtly built into the top of the guitar and is in the ideal position to access for quick, efficient looping. This makes it both a welcome performance feature and indispensable practice tool.
Additionally, the controls on the TAG3C have been simplified and minimised for ease of use. The beauty of the TAG3C is that it’s possible to get to grips with how the effects and looper work very quickly, but also possible to get into more detail with options available via the app. Crucially, this means the TAG3C is not dependent on the app for use, meaning it will appeal to both players who like ease of use – as well as those who like to get more hands on with operation settings and editing effect parameters.
With this latest addition to the line-up, TransAcoustic now offers a comprehensive range of acoustic guitars for players of all levels and price points. There will never be a better time to see what they are all about and which one is best for you!
