This Ashbury Celtic mandolin is an all-solid woods instrument featuring a solid Alaskan spruce top with round soundhole. The back and sides are made from beautifully figured solid Senna Siamea (very similar to Rosewood).  The bridge is also made from Senna Siamea with a buffalo bone saddle. This combination of tonewoods helps this mandolin produce a gorgeous tone with great clarity, projection and sustain as well as a very pleasing warmth rarely found on instruments at this price.

The instrument is finished with some very nice touches too - abalone purfling and rosette, with curly maple binding and pearl dot markers. The wide nut and fingerboard on this style of instrument makes for a more comfortable playing experience for many players, particularly those with larger hands and fingers.

This mandolin is a great choice for anyone looking for a good all rounder with a quality tone - a highly responsive instrument that's a real joy to play.
